December's Just Beginning

Break out the holly and all the trimmings. This is one of my favorite holidays. What a month and God blessed me many years ago on the 22nd of December with a beautiful baby girl what a gift she is .I can remember it well it was snowing and we got there the 19th she wasn't born until the 22nd and we came home Christmas Eve.She was so soft and fuzzy and beautiful blue eyes and the lightest golden hair and smelled oh so good. She was perfect and is a beautiful woman in and out to this day.Tried to keep her birthday and Christmas seperate and still do.Something special about having a child this glorious season.
All of my children are so very special and different.Son called he is in holiday spirit got himself a eight point buck .And the youngest daughter is debating on putting up Christmas tree or not. I know time for me to sign off and start my decorating, deck the halls with boughs of holly, bring out the tree and all the trimmings I am getting excited just writing about it all !

Thanksgiving at Tina's

We had a wonderful time but missed my honey he had to work.We fixed him up with some goodies for when he gets off.
Tina worked hard and the kids did great on their delectable dishes Levi made some really good stuffing with sausage and Garrett's corn casserole was all gone.Everyone pitched in I got to make homemade noodles and a broccoli casserole. No shortage of good food.So thankful for our family.
Tina decided this year the women were going to make something instead of the children. We had fun and every ones wreath turned out different and unique. Some thought no way I can't craft but as you can see in the picture great job. What a way to end the afternoon.
God truly blessed us all hope you had a bless your socks off day too!

Good Times

Left Fri morning to go to good friends Shirley and Mr Brad. They live in the house in the woods. It is beautiful even though the trees are loosing their leaves. Still have lots of birds especially woodpeckers.Shirley always makes sure to keep the birds and animals fed.Today I made homemade noodles and chicken, mashed potatoes, peas and hot rolls and cranberry sauce. We pigged out and Shirley invited folks from up the road from them for dinner too and we still have noodles left. Got a fire in the fireplace and kicking back makes for good conversation.Got to go now and enjoy the fire.
Hope the Lord blessed your socks off today !

Great News

A sweet couple I know just got home with their new daughter and boy are they glad to be back in the good ol USA.
You see Sadie is from Viet Nam and they have waited for a long time to bring her home.Their son is so excited to have a sister and they are adjusting quite well.
It is sad when we have to go out of country to adopt but this is what worked for them.
My prayers go out to anyone who adopts sometimes the journey is tough but well worth the reward.I love my family and so proud of all of them.
May the Lord bless your socks off today !

Got to Pendleton

Hubby and I went to Pendleton yesterday to see Tina's booth. Couldn't resist one of her word frames,so many to choose from but I like this one Faithful just spoke to me. God is so Faithful. Makes me think of friends and family and home group. Yes there are wonderful Faithful people and I am fortunite to know a few.
We came home and I had the perfect place for the word frame. It sets right accross from my chair love being reminded. Faithful what does it mean to you? Strong's dictionary of bible words says trustworthiness, steadyness,to be firm, true, trustworthy reliable. Glory ! Doesn't that give you peace. Yep, God is still in control.May he bless your socks off today !

Grateful

Grateful to my daughter for helping me out again with this blog stuff.I need to work on posting then maybe I won't be so intimated.
Thanks sis ! Who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks ...Not me ! Thought you might want to see her handsome family.
Change can be difficult sometimes kind of like the weather or seasons. My honey and I are getting ready to close our place for the winter at Wildridge, beautiful this time of year.God's paint brush is a gorgeous array of colors red, gold, yellow and still some green that hasn't been touched yet.Reminds me of something I heard our mind is our paint brush and we can paint anything gloomy or sad or happy and glad. What will I paint today ! I choose happy and glad what about you !

Thanks to my daughter

I just got off of my daughter's blog and as usual she is such an encourager her word for this week is endure per Webster it means to continue to exist, suffer patiently,to last. This maybe in our marriages, with fiances, our weight, the economy, relationships, marriages, daily living. These are difficult times for all .So important to remember I Chronicles 16 : 34 Give thanks to the Lord for His love endures forever. The truth sets us free. Sometimes just being is enough.
May God bless your socks off this week!

Super Saturday

Had to be a Tina's house by 7:15 A.M. So we could be at the church for her speaking engagement by 8:30 it was in a small town several miles away.We talked on the way great to have this time with her, she can be a real encourager. It was a friendly Church with a diversity in women all ages came.Tina and I prayed and I knew God would speak through her.She was fantastic it had been awhile since I last heard her. What a gift God has blessed her with. I am so proud of her and at the end a little old lady stood up and said how blessed they all were for the music and speakers. We bought some bakery goodies too, money going to local ministries. They also had a luncheon served by the men afterward we got table arrangement to take home lovely fall colors. We were so blessed and felt right at home. We stopped at the Gaithers Life center on way home but we both found nothing we could not live without.Got to Tina's she was having allergy flair up so I got some love from the boys and made it for home .Peace fills my soul, if you have ever had that peace you know what I mean if not be still and let God"s grace cover you until nothing else matters PEACE
May God bless your socks off today ! He sure did mine ! GLORY!

Fantastic Friday

Morning was busy took Phyllis to cemetery to decorate her parents grave. Then we went to see her friend in a nursing home ,she was doing better than first time we saw her.We ran a few more errands and dropped her off she had bought me a taco salad take out went home to enjoy it.Taco salad hit the spot. Decided to get some of my fall decorating done to enjoy.Made a couple of arrangements and laughed about some of the things I had made threw the years. So grateful to be able to do these things myself see my honey isn't into change and redecorating for seasons is not his cup of tea.He did get the fall boxes down for me and I didn't even ask, what a man. Hope you all are getting ready for fall harvest.Harvest this time of year the Lord reminds me there is a time to plant a time to grow and a time for harvest just like the seed in the ground He put in each of us a measure of faith and it is up to us to nurture and grow and know the harvest is coming . Have you planted any seeds lately ? Sometimes we get to watch them grow and sometimes someone else does the same with the harvest.Jesus love is never waisted give some out today.

Looked like a fall day to me but wasn't as cold and damp you know the kind of day that gets to your very bones. I know it is coming this is Indiana and we know we are due for change.
Getting ready for Needles of Faith Ministry meeting tonight
made some garbage for dinner it is my daughter-in-laws recipe
smoked sausage ,zucchini, yellow squash, sweet onion, green red and yellow peppers and favorite seasoning . My seasoning is Natures Seasoning by Morton so good on anything. Getting Started

What a great day. Went with a partner in Needles of Faith ministry to deliver three prayer blankets and delivered a forth by myself on way to one of my daughters. What a privilege to do this and to think a couple of years ago it wasn't so easy. But with the help of a good Dr and the Lord's guiding his hands I have not one but two working total knees Glory!
This blog is all because of my wonderful daughter, she has one and I really enjoyed it so today she is helping me get started. I have no idea what I am doing ? Not very computer savvy but willing to learn no fear . She is so talented and creative I am so proud of her and her family.
Still at her home going to grandsons football game later. They have twins sons twelve and my oldest granddaughter has started her first year in college away from home real adjustment for all.
Well I did it my first entry. God Bless your socks off today !
