Season of Love

Well here we are and it is that wonderful time of year to reflect on what our great God did for us. Christmas someone said it's meaning is Christ mass.Makes me ponder.
Oh how He loves us. He has blessed me so much while shopping this year.Got some bargains but most of all I meet some really lovely people. We have opportunities every day if we just slow down and look and listen.One of the people I meet was a widow who has a farm and cattle and is alone her husband died on the day of his retirement,she is so special and I got to invite her to Christmas eve service at our church,my honey has to work .Thank you Lord for the kiss.
Are you ready for Christmas? Take some time and bring Jesus joy, peace,and love to someone new you won't be sorry. I am not.

This was a wonderful time with twenty three extradinary mature women in years and their relationship with the Lord.We sang and praised and cried and laughed think we covered every emotion women have,it was such a blessing.

We had small group time with the women we were rooming with,our condo was beautiful and so peaceful.We sat on the balcony which overlooks a golf course,the weather was beautiful.What a week-end we even had church on sun. morn with a gorgeous view of Gods creation.
Each one of us got to give testimony to our thankfulness for what God has and is doing in our lives . Isaiah 61:10 Let me tell you how happy God has made me.For He has clothed me with garments of salvation and draped about me the robe of righteousness.I am like a bridegroom in his wedding suit or a bride with her jewels.

His plan for us has and is for our good and everlasting joy in Him .For He is good .... all the time.

This was a small retreat in numbers but so large in thanksgiving and praise to our Lord. I am so grateful to live where I can freely worship and serve our Lord, how about you ? Long over due

Oh am I a mess. Seems like forever since I have blogged. I got involved with face book and never have been a game player but I have gotten hooked on a couple. So much time can be spent and before you know it no time for other things,thank goodness some of my friends have given me good advice and hope to start blogging again. Today is a good start.
Today was wonderful had breakfast with some great girlfriends. We are also going to a women's retreat new week-end and wanted to do some planning before then we are all roomies. It is a two bedroom two bath condo with fireplace and wonderful view of a golf course. So excited we are also having church Sun there.Very small group only about 25 going.It is for us mature gals over fifty.Theme is Oaks of righteousness.
Know we will all be blessed and on fire when we return. Ck out Isaiah 61.

What a Summer

I am so grateful. God has richly blessed our family. Krissy had back surgery and is doing very well. Terry and his family are all OK little bump when they thought Sam had picked up a parasite at Boy Scout Camp but was just a virus thank you Lord.Tina is rejoicing as she always does no matter what the situation is. Emily is at Anderson University this year makes it closer to home but still on campus. Boys are growing Levi is back in football and Garrett is in tennis so both are in there element. Praise God !
I had surgery too rotator cuff and they also moved a nerve in my elbow. Our home group made sure we had dinner for two weeks and stopped by or checked to see if we needed anything . Church family what a blessing. Still in therapy it is slow process and I am trying to be patient. My honey has been so helpful and encouraging.
Ministry Needles of Faith is going strong.New women are joining and we just finished making the hats for the homeless for winter over 200 were made. Working on baby stuff now and prayer blankets . God has blessed this ministry this year abundantly.
We have had donations coming in and everything we have needed has been supplied. He is so faithful . All glory goes to him !!
Hope to get back to blogging miss it. 1John 3:1 NIV How great is the love the Father has lavished on us ! We could count the stars in the heavens,people on a planet,smiles in a lifetime ... Still we could not begin to count the ways our Heavenly Father loves you and me. Thank you Lord !

Girlfriends

We had a wonderful time together but all agreed it was to short and went by quickly.We laughed, cried, prayed,played domino's,euchre and talked about anything and everything. We enjoyed each and every moment.
On the way to our place we stopped for lunch in a small town called Orleans at a family restaurant my favorite place to get peanut butter pie .I have bragged about their pie for so long and wouldn't you know it they were out the day we stopped. I couldn't believe it but Debbie called them from our place and ask them to save a whole pie we would pick it up on our way home.She told everybody but me and was I surprised.We each got a fourth to take home.I have talked to them since our trip and the pie was a hit .If anyone has a great recipe for peanut butter pie I would love to try it.Next time we go to our place I am asking if the restaurant will give the pie recipe to me.It is the Best !
We were all sore from laughing was a good sore though. I thank God for the beautiful women He has put in my life.
I took my camera and I am so bad never tool the first picture.Do have precious memories for now.
Hope to do it again before summer is through. Sure wish we had more sleeping space and wouldn't hurt if we were a bit younger too. Blow up beds are not that comfortable.
A lot has happened since we came home, I am having some test next week and could use your prayers.
Will get back with more information after test.My scripture reading the other day was so good it is from the Message Matt 6 29:31 If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers----
most of which are never ever seen---- don't you think He'll attend to you, take pride in you, do His best for you? What I am trying to do here is get you to relax,to not be so preoccupied with getting,so you can respond to God's giving. People who don't know God and the way He works fuss over things, but you know God and how He works.
Steep your life in God your everyday human concerns will be met . Don't you just love it ! I don't and you don't need to worry for anything ! but pray for everything .Amen HUGS to you all.

Friendship

So excited ,three really good girlfriends and I are going to our place in southern In.for 3 days.
Only one of them has ever been there.It is so serene and peaceful and a great place to rest and refresh your spirit.I will try and take pictures and post them when I return. I am looking forward to this as my heart is heavy for a dear friend with MS and she has had complications due to a drug called Tisarbi.She is one in I believe seven in the world who have had a reaction to this drug and at this time no treatment or prognosis.Very serious.She has been in hospital for a month now. please if you read this pray for her and her family she is thirty six years old one teenage daughter married to a wonderful husband and great parents.This is so sad and hate to see her this way,but God has a plan and He sees the big picture and can turn anything to good .Great is His faithfulness morning by morning new mercy's I see.Thank you for your prayers.

Today is the day ! I will rejoice and be glad in it !

Wow what a week I have walked for five days now and really look forward to it.Good time for praying .Today I prayed for Tina and picking Emilee up from college,another transition.Bless them in coming days.My son and his family.Youngest daughter so glad she still has a job.Thanked him for my wonderful friend who is being delivered from alcohol.She is doing so good by the grace of God and hopes someday to testify to it.Glory.You go sweet lady,so proud of her.another friend is battling and winning a new exercise program with a individual trainer,can see her feeling good about herself,it is a battle,when you have never done any type of a program.But now my heart is heavy for a dear friend with MS and she has had a reaction to the tysarbi infusions she has a virus in her brain please join with me in prayer for her and her family they need a miracle.No know treatment and prognosis not good.But hallelujah we serve a big God and he knows what she needs ,I put all my trust in him.Amen Have a beautiful weekend !

From a Greatful Heart

Thank you Lord for a beautiful day,so greatful I have eyes to see all your gifts you give us each day to enjoy,legs to walk started walking yesterday was refreshing did it again today went a little ferther.This is good taking it one day at a time.Good time for praying too.Oh so many prayers but know there is nothing you can't handle,your will for us is good not evil.We need to put our armor on and get ready for battle as it comes (be prepaired ) Gosh I love His word so healing to spirit,soul,mind and body.It is for all ,yep all He did everything for all,we need to continue to be ready to make deciples is that to much for Him to ask ? Think about it. May you have all that is possible in Christ Jesus today !

Restful Sunday

Honey got home and time for vacation to end .We have decided to take another one in the fall and go to Gulf Shores Al will visit some friends who are staying for the whole month.Hope to have a week with them.I am feeling much better and hopefully will get back to enjoying each day again.
Have missed Church and fellowship. Looking forward to Tue night home group word study In Christ and In Him.Our leader is so good and digs in the word and gives us a challenge too.Better get to work on that challenge. Blessing to all on this wonderful Sunday !

Not sure where to start

Lets see went to our place in southern Indy honey had couple of weeks off.We had crazy weather and I took sick came home early went to Dr honey went back took a buddy and I stayed home to recuperate.We sure have been getting our spring rains in.The trees and flowers are all beautiful so rain is good.Kind of like life sometimes the rain must fall,we get refreshed and grow God is so good and so glad He knows and wants us to live abundantly. Glory! We are sure blessed
We can openly worship our Lord,a sweet family,our health,warm home,food in the frig,wonderful church family and friends what more do I need. Check out your blessings and thank Him who gives abundantly .Have a super Sunday

Super Saturday

What a beautiful day here,lots of sunshine and getting warmer every minute. I was sitting on the back porch and just imaging sweet Jesus sitting with me and we were talking about seeds and the harvest and He is so encouraging telling me little ole me you can do it just remember I showed you how to plant seeds and what to do about the harvest.Yes He is a great teacher.I have so much to learn but I know my Sweet Savior will guide my way.For He is the only way.Glory
If you haven't talked to Him today take a few minutes it is so worth it.

Give Him Glory

Can you believe it this month is half over. Easter was awesome Our church service was the best. Our Paster was so in his element and the spirit was sooo present.Prayed the whole week for any who had not made Him Lord of their life to do so Sunday,Just know some did.God is patiently waiting so not one will be left behind,we just need to do are part to see opportunities each and everyday to share the great news.Live it so someone will just have to ask where does all you joy come from.
My honey had to work Easter and granddaughters were missing one at college and other had to work.They were truly missed.Enjoyed seeing the three boys playing and Levi having a ball on something called a zip board. to funny seeing him wiggle and ride it,brought back memories of our son on a skateboard.Oh almost forgot one of the granddaughters came after work she got to eat and had to go back to work later that eve,we were pleasantly surprised. Love the unexpected .
We like doing brunch gives them time to get with other side of their families too. We are so blessed.

Ministry Fair

Our church had a ministry fair this past Sunday.
We had four new ladies sign up for Needles of Faith.So excited to call them and see what they like to do crochet ,knit or sew we can sure use the help this past month we sent or delivered over 30 prayer blankets. To God be the glory and got to meet some really neat folks too.We prayed and laughed and listened and they all received our gift joyously.
I love this ministry and get so blessed just thinking of the many lives we touch with prayer as each item is created it is covered with prayer for whom ever will receive it.
Yes delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desire of your heart.
Do something for another this week and be richly blessed.

The Van

OK Dave Ramsey I am really trying to keep this van until it drops dead, but it is getting more expensive to keep than it is worth. The air conditioning has quit that's $1500.00 the wipers only work on high cost to repair $989.00 the catalytic converter has two holes in it haven't checked out the cost on it yet and a small ouch which is beginning to get worse so I put a bandage on it . I found the pink duck tape at Wallgreens now I feel pretty powerful wonder if it would patch the holes in catalytic converter? Forgot to say my Van is a 1999 and she takes licking but keeps on ticking really grateful to have her.It's a beautiful day think I may give the ole girl a bath and clean the inside ,kind of remind you of anything if we give the Lord all the bad stuff he will help us clean up the inside and replace it with good stuff.Don't know about you but I surrender what have you got to loose ? Just give Him a try and the stuff won't seem so important any more.Be blessed

Back to some blogging

Boy this month is almost over and what a month.Last Sat .family got together for a soup supper and to celebrate Feb and March birthdays.Had a great time and quite a variety of soups bean,baked potato,chicken noodle,and Mexican one.Couldn't just try one.
We celebrated birthdays from the youngest (twin brothers) the big 13 official teenagers to the oldest 62.and some in between.Love the fact that the boys still play.They are such fun to watch.
Had another treat and surprise from daughter Tina she wrote each one of us a birthday love letter it was the best present I received ,we all cried and laughed made a memory.I am not much of a writer but maybe some of you are give it a try . I plan to frame mine. I have told her for years she has a book in her and would love to read it.

Ministry has been very busy too. We have delivered and mailed 27 prayer blankets ,10 chemo caps, 4 baby sets and our working on super single blankets for shelter in our community.Can you believe it only 10 of us but 3 new ones are coming to next weeks meeting.

Our church is having a Retreat in April has been few years since our last one.Theme is on Serving. Really looking forward to spending time with great women who love the Lord.90 have signed up.

Will end with thought from George McDolald Instead of a gem or even a flower,we should cast the gift of a loving thought into the heart of a friend,that would be giving as the angels give.

Have been praying for Tina and her family,she has bronchitis and Grandson Garrett is having allergy problems.Tina is so busy kind of like the commercial about the lady who is looking at her calendar and saying no time to be sick can't fit it in.Today she called and ask if I could come out and fix dinner I know she is bad off she usually would crawl to the kitchen.So glad to help.She is always asking for prayer for others,time for others to please pray for her.Thank you .
I will pick Missy up from the groomer on the way to Tina's.She is at dogie spa getting a doo.
Tonight our home group is having a chili supper and fellowship eve.I am so greatful a really spiritual leader has been gone for awhile and he is coming back to lead and teach us again.We have a very special group.In these trying times so good to have this family of believers.Have a great week.

To blessed to be stressed

What a day ! FedX man delivered my winnings today and my honey is home today,he couldn't believe how nice the plaque is and we both are trying decide where we want to hang it.This has been a great week.
Needles of faith gals had birthday cake for me at our meeting this week and we got another blessing of five trash bags of yarn given to us thank you Lord for answered prayer.We can still use some baby yarn but know it will be provided when we really need it He is so faithful.
Get to help with the Kings daughter breakfast at church Sat for about 60 young ladies.Have some ideas of how to decorate some of the packaged items and add special touches for tables thanks to jeanne at creative ideas.Lots to do got to run and get started .
This is the day the Lord hath made we will rejoice and be glad in it !

Happy Birthday

What a day hubby started it with coffee and sweet roll,and the cutest card. He wanted to go shopping for a cross necklace which was a wonderful idea but timing is little off money little funny if you know what I mean,so we agreed to wait.
You see he wants to retire in 2011.We also have a place in southern In we have held on to it for over 20 years and hope to be able and have it when he retires.
Now for the blessing you know this wonderful blog I told you about and gave the link to. Well I had entered a contest with several prises one of which was a wall sculpture Day Spring donated and I won.Wish I knew more of how to get picture of what I won,I will work on it.
I have cried and ask husband to pinch me and thanked Sweet Lord for such a blessing and on my birthday! I don't believe in chance God had this all planned out perfect timing.What a testimony to my family and friends.Please if you have not visited Inspiring Ideas do so she is so creative and you can buy her items at Hallmark and Day Spring plus she gives ideas on her blog too for free. Valentines Day

This morning as I was talking with the Lord I was reminded how much He loves us and we are His special valentine and no matter how much we let Him know we love Him He first loved us.
I feel so privileged to openly be able to worship Him and be with Him I think of those who must hide and seek Him in the dark places across the world or who have no idea of how He wants to be a part of their lives.
I was also reminded times are difficult for our leaders pray pray pray is all I can say.
My honey had to work today but he left me a beautiful Hallmark card and it made me cry.He also left me a movie Nights in Rodanthe it is based on a best seller by Nicholas Sparks (Notebook,Message in a Bottle) hope to enjoy it with honey.I am so blessed not meaning to sound like we never have our differences but he can do something and it will melt my heart and wipe away those times.Just like our sweet Lord wipes away our tears and sins and truly repent,he fills our heart with peace that passes all understanding.Glory for the joy of the Lord is our strength.
Sent love to family this week too.Surprised daughter with a crochet hat and granddaughter at college with crochet headband she told her mom it cane at good time and was sweet (means she liked it )Her mom loved the hat too.Have seen or talked to all of them great week.
Plan to have a special dinner tonight for honey when he gets home from work
I made a few calls to wish friends a great love day,got to talk with my good buddies in Bedford Mr Brad and Shirley,they are special people in my life too.Thank you Lord for blessing me with brothers and sisters by addoption.
Even if it is just a call do something special today and love somebody,you can do it.Spread some Jesus Love ! Happy love Day ! May the Lord Bless You Socks Off !

It is done

What a day.It started out windy and rainey and my therapy was at 8 AM.but let the wind blow after we got home my honey helped me decorate our wall. Really happy with the results.The cross picture with hope on it was a Christmas gift.You can't read the scripture on the rock on the shelf but it is Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength,they shall mount up with wings as eagles.
We sorred today.
We also met our daughter Krissy for a sandwich at Steak and Shake.We had a great visit .She had a surprise for us she works at Rebock Addis and she got us both Payton Manning MVP tee shirts.Honey really liked it.He likes me to dress for the Colts games too.
Needles of Faith ministry was really blessed this week we delivered another prayer blanket and spent several hours with the couple they wanted us to go to lunch their treat at Cracker Barrell
they also made a generous donation to the ministry we were so blessed and every time we deliver a blanket we leave more blessed just to meet and visit with others.We go intending to bless them and there you go we are the ones blessed.
We bought really nice fleece at a good price with part of the donation.We gave out 143 blankets last year.When we have a need the Lord supplies.We seem to get lots of yarn except for baby yarn
we have to buy or get it from donations if any body has any baby yarn we will gladely take it and put it to good use.

Seasons,Changes etc

Snow is about gone and reminds me of how the seasons change and especially in In. Our lives are like that too.
Today went to church with daughter and we went to lunch afterward.OCharlie's we both wanted potato soup and there rolls,just like everything changes so had the soup just not quiet what we had remembered.We still enjoyed lunch and visit.Seams we can relate on seasons and change and how they effect our lives.
So grateful to have someone to be flat honest with and know that's as far as it goes.
We all need to vent once in awhile and let our hair down.We shared and encouraged and laughed and know this too shall pass.
Thank you Lord for such a wonderful wise daughter.I am one of her best fans in case you hadn't noticed.

Second Round

Here we are again.One week ago we were about 12 inches deep in snow,yesterday our hot tub was almost clean we were talking about getting in. Today is a different story and think we will have to pass or clean off the snow.Honey and I like to get in when it is snowing and catch the snowflakes .
It is last Tue weather again. Edna and I were out delivering ministry items last Tues and today we were out at the hospital. As we were going into hospital Edna said "be careful it is slick "and down I went,after the shock and trying to get up with Edna's help I was relieved that my knees were ok.We laughed and thought how funny we must have looked.Dirty buzzard was sure trying to keep us from the Lord's work but we showed him.We made it to pray with a sweet women before her surgery. Psalm 48:1 Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised. Gaze upon the Lord then,with the vision in your heart. Turn strong to meet the day.
Well Edna brought me home and here I will stay until another day.

Thoughtful Thursday

What a day Honey took me to therapy,trying not to be to disappointed ,but thought I would be further along than I am. See the Dr next Wed and therapist thinks I may need two more weeks of therapy.Bummer.
I got to thinking How blessed I am honey is big help and if I ask will do most anything for me.
All of my family are healthy.I can worship the Lord openly.I am involved in a wonderful ministry.My church family are very supportive when I need it.Beautiful women in my life for girl friend stuff.
So what if it takes longer than I thought to get rid of the heel pain I know it is on it's way out! God is so faithful and can use me wright where I am.Glory ! His word tells me in Philippians 4 :6-8 (check it out)
Yes if there be anything of good report think on these things.
Today I am thankful how about you ?

Needles of Faith

Yesterday my friend Edna and I delivered 2 prayer blankets.One to a 84 year old woman in hospital,her son had put her on prayer list and also wasn't sure if she knew where she would go in the event of her death.God provided us an opportunity to witness to her and without a doubt she is going home to spend her life with the Lord.Relief and Glory for her son.She was really precious.
Other blanket went to a young woman she was home and recuperating from surgery,her husband was home helping her,lovely couple and they wanted to know all about our ministry.Husband even ask if we had had lunch he left for a bit and returned said "they would like to make a donation to our ministry and also buy us lunch" this was a surprise and what a blessing.God is so faithful even when we are not .Edna and I had talked about the weather and snow starting and maybe we would stay home but we prayed and ask the Lord to help us and of course He did and when we do His will we are so blessed.Sometimes it is not always easy and have to remind ourselves who we are working for and why.
We went and had a great lunch,and will put the donation in our ministry fund.
Well today is another story we ended up getting 12.5 inches of snow and it has kept me in so I thought maybe I would try and take a picture of our prayer blanket and baby blankets and chemo caps my camera is old and I am not much better at taking pictures than I am at this blogging stuff but maybe you can get the just of some of what Needles of Faith makes we also make burp cloths and afghans for a shelter and sweaters for a program out of New York that sends them overseas to children in really cold places.There are 10 talented women who work very hard to keep items made.I feel so blessed to be a part of this ministry.We make sure we pray as we are making items and with those we are able to deliver them to.

Here it is Saturday again

Week started out kind of pukie as Tina and Mike had to evict there renter and he had trashed the house.Honey and I went over on his day off and helped where we could.It was so sad and very hard for Tina as this once had been her home and so many good memories,I thank God for her and she pulled herself out of it and rolled up her sleeves and believes they will get a great responsible renter someone they can give a chance to make a home too.She amazes me ,but I know her heart.In agreement with her in prayer for this.
Made me think of boundaries and how we need to set them and keep them in business and friendships.It is so hard sometimes to know where to draw the line as some people will take advantage of situations.I am reminded the only sure thing is the Lord as He will not leave or forsake us He is faithful and the truth,when we turn to Him and listen He really knows best and wants the best for us and on this I will stand.
Enough preaching.
My therapy is doing ok but my therapist suggested we try something along with exercises they put a patch with electrode on my heel and another on my calf oh the one on my heel also had medicine on it this all was hook to a box and turned it on no pain but treatment lasted 15 min.Think this help as when I first went in that day heel was screaming and when I left was better and seems to be better today too.Have another week of therapy before see Dr again they mentioned doing another treatment a longer one next week we will see know it is getting better just takes time and it is not going to stop me from greeting on Sunday and giving out some Jesus love to church.
Honey is gone for evening to a Pacer game with Son and grandson. Oldest granddaughter will be home from school this weekend too hope to see the family .
Think I will finish my book The Fisherman a novel it is an account of Peter and relationship with the Master from his flesh,mind and spiritual side .Stimulating read and really made me think.

Great Gals

Here we are at Bonnie & Clides restaurant in Shelbyville In.Just look at us clowning around,the owner took our picture so we could all be in it.Notice the machine guns and money bag.The place was an old bank and is really neat inside.
What fun we had great food and fellowship was wonderful.These are some very special women in my life,we can talk about anything and everything and share our love for Jesus.We try and get together once a month and try different places to have lunch.Girls day out and can you believe it no shopping ??
I thank the Lord for my friends.We are meant to have relationships .Do you have special friends,be sure and get together and have some fun.

Freezing Friday

Ok so it's cold outside and you are oh so warm inside,this gave a heavy heart and I ask the Lord to watch over all who had to be outside especially the homeless.So sad that some choose to live homeless and others cannot help it because of our economy or mental health problems.So we need to stand in the gap and pray or offer ourselves in whatever way we can nothing is too small or insignificant.Ok I'll get off my soapbox.
So glad my daughter turned me on to Blogging but have to watch I am slow with checking out other blogs plus my typing is not that fast and general knowledge of computer which amazed me when I learn something new.Didn't say I can always remember what I did but was fun while I did it.
Fixed two pots of bean soup last night one northern with ham and one Cajun with tomatoes chilies and ground deer was deli sh with it so cold.Shared northern with neighbor and her family.
For tonight will fix something different for honey but I will hit the beans again.
Talked to all the kids in past two days all are keeping warm think the Wll game will come in handy this week-end with the weather so cold.They all seem to really enjoy playing together they all still play board games too.Sat night family night popcorn and soda fun and games and this week-end Em is coming home from college it will be hopping at their house.
Have some fun and take a chance get out a puzzle or board game and enjoy each other even me and my honey played battleship yesterday hope we do it again after I sunk his ships.He was good sport so think it is ok.

I did it ! My daughter is so great and encourages me to stretch. I did it sis I got my blog list created thanks to you.Kind of like our walk with the Lord you know the Holy Spirit promts us then tells us and encourages us to see opportunities or better choices and we sometimes try not to hear or ignor.What a difference as we can say we got through it and give all the glory where it belongs.Gets me so excited when I take time to listen.In todays times remember with God's help,carry your burdens and seek solutions,He is just waiting to give His help and encouragement!

Burrr

Boy it is cold outside and the snow is beautiful.Honey is off otday took me to therapy,goodwill got couple of goodies and was Sr day so did real good.I had some blankets for our shelter in town we dropped them off and they were so happy.when someone leaves the shelter they get to take blanket with them,love that.Needles of Faith prays while we make items.
Stopped at post office sent off a prayer blanket to Ohio.
Of corse we needed gas and stopped at Kroger for a few things.Everwhere we went Lord blessed us with great praking spot.Sometimes we forget He is with us in all we say and do.One thing I notice at my age I am in not big rush,think that helps see and hear Him in so many things of the day.He is so good and all the time.Hebrews 3:13 encourage one another daily . My honey is such a helpmate I need to be reminded to let him know how much I appreciate him. Encourage someone this week or several if the opportunity arises and may the Lord bless your socks off .

Wii what fun

Honey was off this past week-end and we went to one of our daughter's house for a fish fry.The men in the family caught the fish last year and Garrett and Levi helped me clean some of them.We had a mixture of crappie blue gill and large mouth bass.Of course we had cole slaw and rolls and home made mac and cheese which daughter in law made .Everything was so yummy and we even had a little fish left good thing too Tina's honey had to work so we made sure he had generous plate of goodies.
Good food and now time to get to the fun part as you can see in picture two of the young men boxed on the Wll they were so much fun to watch and honey and I even gave it a try I was a hoot at bowling but was good exercise and loved being with the family.If you don't have a Wll find someone who does and try it you'll like it and can do it small children to big kids like me.
Monday came and went to physical therapy for foot and he used the plastic tool the torture tool but said it would help the most think he likes to see folks reaction to the tool.I have been doing exercises at home too but today foot is really screaming.Go back tomorrow maybe more tool torture will help.Hope so.
One good thing I have been crocheting more since off of foot some.Working on a boy baby blanket for Needles of Faith Ministry.
We also have a prayer blanket to deliver Fri afternoon,this is such a wonderful thing to be able to bless folks and pray with them and know the work of our hands glorifies the one who made us.Glory.We have 10 wonderful women all of them talented some like to knit better some crochet and of coarse we sew too,that's why the name Needles of Faith and we pray as we make things for others.God has blessed us with donations of yarn and money to buy what we need He always provides. This is hard time for many with job losses and cost of everything but think about it He will provide our needs not wants but needs He promises us. Well hay have rambled enough May the Lord Bless your socks off.

Ramblings mid week

What a start. Car needed new battery and of course had to take to dealer ship which cost $189.for battery and to install it.But this is good, car is running great and starts every time.Car is 10 years old but paid for so shut my mouth.That was Mon.On Tue.honey was chauffeur and we picked up Phyllis went to bank,pharmacy,store and taco bell.I needed to go to store too,so this worked out great except for one thing my heel was killing me by time we got home so made apt with foot Dr. Today blood let at 8:15 then off to foot DR. good news is he thinks we can get this taken care of with physical therapy and shoe insert should know in about 4 weeks he called it plantar faciitis is an inflammation of the band of tissue that extends from heel to toes.He did give me an excuse to get some furry clogs said they would be good when I am home and to not I mean not go barefoot even if I get out of bed to go to bathroom.I am such a barefoot person but if it will help ok.Boy now have to schedule therapy and get back on the ball to loose weight too.Phyllis had eye Dr apt and I was able to get there before Dr. had seen her,bless her she has some problems with left eye and has lost some vision but right eye is 20 20 with her glasses not sure she fully understands maybe she is better off.She is so sweet.like helping her as she cannot read very well and is 68 makes me wonder how many others are out there needing a little help.
I am just rambling but these are my thoughts and good to get them out.
Got a deer roast in crock pot going to make some stew and house is warm and don't have to go out again today. When I see all this in print I can't help I have so much to be thankful for and as I reflect on last evening my heart is heavy a sweet dear one of the Lords children was found dead by her father and step mom not sure what happened or why but she has a young daughter about the age of my grandsons and I can't imagine how hard this must be for them all. I ask for prayer for this family as coming days may be tough but yes they will get through them by Gods good grace and mercy.Help me Lord to remember life is short embrace each day as a blessing not a curse or drudgery no matter what we are doing or where we are going we have a choice.
I choose peace,joy,kindness,gentleness,love this day and may you too choose for God to bless your socks off today.

Seams like a Monday

I am still trying to catch up as my mind is saying this is a new year and Sat not Mon. Honey is working and I am still trying to put away Christmas stuff.I have tried sleepiing in ,wiggling my nose , asking it all to jump back in the boxes it came out of and you know there it still is calling me to do the job.Time to get out pom poms and cheer myself on to a job finished,especially before honey gets home.Guess part of me has to say good bye to another year and boy do they fly by.Think maybe I have a little cabin fever with car broke down and getting over broncitis enough of this DRA you know dirty rotten attitude. I am greatful tomorrow is Sun and I get to greet at the early service.This is a time to put out Jesus love all over the church,what a joy and privilage.Thank you Lord I am ready with you by my side we can get this job done.Put on the music cause here we come.

2009

January 1 2009 This is a great day son in law is celebrating his birthday as I type or at least I hope he is. He is such a good husband and father and provider I am so proud of him.Sure they are playing the W11 as Tina made pro bowler and they may have a chance to catch her now as she has bowlers arm.What fun.
Heard from all the children last night as Dad and I spent a quiet evening home we snacked and played dice game until honey beat me one to many times,think it may call for a rematch.
The cabbage is on and honey hasn't left yet he dislikes the smell while it is cooking but think he is more into a ball game or maybe a little nap.
I pray blessings on all family and hope for the new year.
I pray for our leaders in their coming in office and leaving,may they seek Him first in all they say and do. Jesus amen.
